Can I use the Between Legs Ice and Heat Therapy Pack if I have a caesarean delivery? Can I use it if I have a vaginal birth?

Though each of our packs are uniquely designed to provide coverage and comfort to specific regions of the body, ice and heat therapy will be effective wherever you place the pack. Our ice/heat packs can be used anywhere you’d like to apply hot/cold therapy for non-medicated pain relief.

Will I feel the heating/cooling effects if I’m also wearing a pad?

Yes! The cooling or warming effect penetrates most postpartum pads.

Are the materials and cooling agents in the ice and heat therapy pack safe?

The exterior of our ice/heat packs is made of an FDA-approved knitted plastic/fabric composite. The cooling agent is comprised of naturally derived ingredients: Glycerine, Water, and Sodium Polymer. These ingredients are all non-toxic and approved by the FDA.

Can the pack be used directly on the skin?

Yes. However, placing any ice/heat pack directly on the skin can cause tissue damage, particularly for sensitive areas such as the perineum. For hot therapy specifically, please make sure that you safely and thoroughly test the temperature of your pack prior to placing it directly onto your skin.
