What makes VieWear Underwear different from regular underwear or other period underwear?

VieWear Period Comfort Underwear is uniquely designed to discreetly hold an ice/heat pack in the abdominal region. A hidden interior pocket allows for insertion of a pack and will keep it in place throughout the time it is worn.

It also has a full-coverage BCI organic cotton lining and widened gusset so it securely holds pads in place and helps to absorb the occasional overflow from tampons or menstrual cups.

Do I need to use a Nyssa Ice/Heat Pack with the underwear?

Our underwear is fantastic on its own and as long as your ice/heat pack is less than 7” wide, you can insert any other pack inside the pocket. Nyssa’s ice/heat packs are uniquely contoured to women’s bodies and allow for a more discreet and effective therapeutic experience.

Is VieWear Underwear Absorbent?

Because Viewear is lined with 100% organic cotton it is leak-resistant, meaning that it effectively absorbs some overflow. However, VieWear is not period absorbency underwear. We intentionally designed it for comfort— so no bulk or padding between the legs and seamless in all the right places. VieWear's unique purpose is to hug your lower abdomen in heat to conquer cramps and bloating. It works with whatever period flow product is your favorite— pads, tampons, cup or disc.

The fabric is comfy, like when you can’t decide which undies to wear because you want to cry before work worrying about being sort of uncomfortable but not sure why, these are good for your mind and body, and also are not that obvious under jeans. Personally I’d love to have these a bit higher cut because I have an extra little cheese storage in my tummy, however, throwing the ice pack right near my uterus today really saved my sanity. And, heat the past week (yes of course I washed them, but needed them sooner because I also decided to start a new workout routine, and then have cramps along with it, wtf people that experience this stuff??). Long short of it, the fabric Nyssa uses is so comfortable and makes you feel very good about yourself because it doesn’t cling or cut in, but stays put. The women producing these products are clearly thinking….wait for it….about people wearing these! Worth the money if you are able to swing it. I’ll be buying more
